Vision Statement

Our service is committed to being a leader in university investigations through excellence, innovation, continuous learning and staff development, quality leadership, and management.

We are committed to deliver investigation services, which are sensitive to the needs of our university community, involving collaborative partnerships and teamwork to overcome all challenges.

The Investigation section acts solely as a fact-finder and does not make disciplinary decisions or recommendation.  The Investigation section relies on university rules and regulations, criminal law to define illegal and inappropriate conduct and rules of investigation. 

We are committed to remaining independent and removed from the disciplinary process as to ensure a fair, thorough investigation process.

Mission Statement

We are dedicated to delivering investigation services in partnership with our community to keep the University of KwaZulu-Natal the safest place to be and to contribute to the realization of the vision and mission of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
