UKZN VEHICLE ACCESS PERMITS
STAFF VEHICLE ACCESS PERMIT
LATEST NEWS: PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU CAN NOW ACCESS THE PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION SITE FROM OFF CAMPUS.
University of KwaZulu-Natal Vehicle Access Permits (VAP) are issued from the RMS ID Card & Parking Disc Offices.

Please note that there is no costs involved for Staff, however there is a cost involved if you wish to have a reserved parking bay.

All Vehicle Access Permit applications are to be made on-line (no manual applications) using one of the links provided below.

(Please note if you are using Internet Explorer it must be Version 9 or above.)

Once you have made your application, you may proceed to your respective ID Card & Parking Disc office to collect. Staff who have previously had UKZN Vehicle Access Permits must hand these in to the RMS ID Card & Parking disc office when collecting the new one


PLEASE NOTE:

  • Two (2) vehicles may be registered on one (1) Vehicle Access Permit.
  • Vehicle Access Permits are transferable between the two registered vehicles ONLY.
  • Vehicle Access Permits are not transferable from person to person.
  • Copying of a UKZN Vehicle Access Permits by whatever means is an offence and constituted as fraud.
  • Vehicle Access Permits information may not be altered in any way.
  • Vehicle Access Permits should be affixed to the front bottom right-hand side of your vehicle's windscreen.
  • Vehicle Access Permits will only be issued to holders of valid UKZN ID Cards.
  • A fee of R80.00 is levied for the replacement of a lost/damaged Vehicle Access Permit except where the vehicle has been stolen and the vehicle theft SAPS CAS number provided to RMS ID Card & Parking disc office.

RESERVED PARKING

On each of the respective campuses, except Nelson Mandela School Of Medicine, there are reserved parking areas which are available to permanent staff members at a nominal fee dependant on the type of reserved area. Fixed Term, Honorary, Emeritus and Retired staff members are not eligible to apply.
